Benefit for Baghdad!

Art to Save the World's first event was a huge success! On June 18, 2010, we had over a hundred people in attendance, sold some fantastic local art, and had a lot of fun!

Over 40 artists participated by donating their artwork, and we were able to raise over $1000 toward helping the families and the free medical clinic they have in Baghdad.

I've put together some pictures and a special message from FRRME to you, thanking you for all your support - the links are below!

If you are interested in attending our upcoming events or know artists who would like to be involved, you can go to arttosavetheworld.com to sign up for updates!

Here's a few notes about our upcoming events:
  • Businesses affected by the Gulf oil spill - Proceeds will go to a business that was devastatingly affected by the oil spill
  • Sustainable 19125 - Proceeds will go toward this org. that is focused on making Fishtown/Kensington the most sustainable neighborhood in Philadelphia, and trains people on how to be more green
  • Human Trafficking/Dawn's Place - Proceeds will aid this women's shelter that rescues women from sex trafficking, mainly in Philadelphia (yes, it's here too unfortunately) and around the world, and helps them to get on their feet
Stay tuned for details! Just a teaser, it looks like Art to Save the World will be coming soon to South Street!
